What is Social Anxiety?
According to the National Institute of Mental Health , Social Anxiety is a mental health condition where many feel anxious or overwhelmed in public around others. "It is an intense, persistent fear of being watched and judged by others. This fear can affect work, school, and your other day-to-day activities. It can even make it hard to make and keep friends."
Social Anxiety in Teens
With an increase in social media among teens, there is also an increase in anxiety. Teens are becoming more anxious with "fitting in" and being social media's version of "pretty."
Through raising girls' confidence and self-esteem, girls will have less anxiety about "fitting in" when going into high school!
